lending the name "Carlton Palms" to this AdvoServ program.

Carlton Palms provides services to children,
adolescents and adults with varying diagnoses, such as autism, developmental
disabilities and dual diagnoses, who come from a variety of states across
the country. These individuals are referred for treatment of their
challenging behavior from a variety of settings, including from
institutions that are discharging their clients to community programs.

The program also features a specialized Behavioral-Medical component that serves
individuals who are experiencing both behavioral and medical problems. For

It is the only "Comprehensive Transitional
Education Program" (CTEP) licensed in Florida. This designation refers to a
series of environmental and programmatic steps that transition an
individual from intensive treatment, education and supervision to living
and learning arrangements that afford the greatest independence possible.

The array of living environments within the CTEP
continuum includes highly supervised and secure arrangements, group homes,
and apartment living.

The school is a fully approved educational
program. A premium is placed on educational achievement as an alternative
to problems and a key to success in the future. School days incorporate all
academic, vocation, leisure and adaptive domains. As attitudes turn into
A's, students learn everything from social skills to social studies, often
experiencing success for the first time in their lives.

The program is nationally known for its' state of
the art behavioral treatment methods and its' success in addressing serious
behavior problems. These problems are treated with comprehensive behavioral
plans, including a full functional assessment, intensive instruction and
reinforcement in alternatives to those problems. Counseling, medication and
other therapeutic modalities are also available to enhance an individual's
progress.

Though effective treatment and education is the
mission, the warm ambiance of Carlton Palms belies its' serious therapeutic
purpose. The relationships are close; the mood is light and warm. One
parent described it as "intensive treatment imbedded in a summer
camp".
