ADVOSERV'S MISSION LIFE WITHOUT BEHAVIORAL BARRIERS Individuals who experience developmental disabilities or mental health issues need not suffer the additional challenges of behavior disorders. Effective treatment is available for problems such as self-injury, aggression towards people and property, or other behavior that interferes with living and learning. AdvoServ offers such help to those whose behavioral challenges have defied all previous attempts at treatment. Through proven, positive and comprehensive strategies that teach individuals how to live problem-free, AdvoServ can help overcome the burdens and barriers associated with severe and intractable problems. 	For over thirty-five years, AdvoServ has been providing services to individuals whose challenges have defied all previous attempts at treatment. Individuals with developmental and mental health issues have been referred to AdvoServ when their behavior problems have negatively impacted their lives, halted their progress, defied numerous previous treatment attempts, presented risks to themselves and others, and erected barriers to full inclusion in community life. In our program, problems such as aggression, self-injurious behavior and property destruction are effectively treated, freeing individuals from the drugged and deprived situations in which they had lived. Further, individuals with extremely limited skills, whose dependent behavior required total care, have learned to communicate, work, play and care for themselves with a level of skill, independence and self-pride never before realized or even imagined.
	Across the thirty-five years since our inception, many things have changed. We now have programs in multiple states; we serve individuals with a broader array of diagnoses and needs; we have extended the types of services and array of living environments available.
	Through all this progress one thing has not changed: our insistence on effective strategies of treatment and training. Individuals who are referred to us are in need of rapid and real help, not band-aides and baseless claims. After long histories of false hopes and failed attempts, individuals entrusted to AdvoServ's care will receive the most effective treatment available, providing them with successes never before achieved.
	As a result of our services, consumers and their families can expect significant progress in understanding their problems, solid improvement in resolving those problems and the development of a formula for continued gains in the future, with decreased reliance on specialized, contrived and costly supports. Their successes serve as testimony to the powerful possibilities of building a better life through behavior change!
